Check out this farm fresh themed spring mini session in Ohio, and swoon over the natural colors, farm fresh eggs and freshly picked flowers.
Each year I plan a couple mini sessions for both new and returning clients. I’m the type of photographer who desires to create something fresh and new while also following the current trends. This is because I value giving my clients something they actually desire, and not being cheesy about it.

The Inspiration
For this mini session, I was pretty particular with the details. I wanted it to truly be farm fresh so I went tulip picking with my mom at Six Buckets Farm in New Philadelphia, Ohio. I’ve done this in past years and I’ve loved the tulips, but I’ve loved the experience even more. This place uses the honors system, so you go when you can, and you Venmo them after picking. I like to take a basket or vase with me so that my job is done before I leave the farm.
I ordered 8 dozen eggs from Feller Farms in New Philadelphia at their at home free-range chicken farm. The chickens kind of just walk up to you when you arrive, and one almost jumped in my car. Like I said, I’m always here for an experience 😉
Not quite spring yet? Host them at a golf course!
I decided (last minute) to host the mini sessions on a golf course at Wood’s Tall Timber Resort because well, it’s Ohio, and on April 20th & 21st, not everything was quite as green as I had hoped and I wanted my mini sessions to look lush and beautiful. It worked out in my favor 🙂

This is one of my favorite minis I’ve ever hosted and I’m excited for another year next year of something (hopefully) as fun and unique as this one. Check out this farm fresh themed spring mini session in Ohio, and swoon over the natural colors, farm fresh eggs and freshly picked flowers.
