For selfish reasons, we love emotion. Whether it’s the intense love you show your partner, or maybe the moment a father sees his daughter in her dress for the first time. We are here for the entire spectrum of emotion and we want to help provide guidance on how to make that happen, even if it’s natural. Capturing what is felt so that it can be remembered is important to our workflow and it’s how we give our clients what they want. Please keep reading: How to Get the Most Out of Your Wedding Video.

Here are a few tips to get the most “feels” from one of the best days of your life!
- Your father, and by “your”, we mean both of your fathers’. Plan to take a meaningful moment to acknowledge all of their hard work, all their love, and anything they did to help mold you into the person you are today. Men tend to keep things, especially emotions, bottled up; that is until the moment presents itself. Think about writing your father a letter to either read or give him on your wedding day, pouring your heart in gratitude and love for everything he has done for you.
- After having some marriage experience ourselves, we know just how far a small gesture will go. It’s typical to have a first dance with your bride and mother-son dance if parents are around and involved, but what if you took it a step further and played their song on your wedding night and you asked your mother for a dance? Without telling anyone and unprovoked, you could surprise your mother with a slow dance that she will cherish for the rest of her life.
- There are a lot of people who are traveling to celebrate your marriage, sometimes dedicating an entire weekend to it. Like you see in the movies, rehearsal dinners can be a big deal if you want them to and it’s an opportunity for you to give your guests the spotlight to talk about your marriage from the outside looking in and the happiness they feel for you. Choosing to have moments like these captured will never be something you regret but it might be something you regret not doing. Plan to use your rehearsal dinner for a few meaningful people to say some loving and hopefully comical words about you both and this will certainly add to the wedding experience.
We hope that this helps your creative juices overflow so that you can make the most of your wedding experience. After all, this day and weekend is about your marriage and every aspect of it from the gown to the guests IS important.
