Since watching Netflix’s #1 Bridgerton, I imagined a perfect styled shoot featuring the Duke & Daphne and immediately took to social media to find a couple who fit the part. Somewhere along the way, Emily with Em&Me Event Co. reached out and began planning EVERYTHING without hesitation; the show simply wouldn’t have gone on without her [pun intended]. While it was an idea that sparked from a Bridgerton obsessed viewer, she ultimately pulled it together and brought it to life, much like a wedding planner does for her brides.
We never had the intention of creating a wedding day that a modern couple would want to mimic (although we are obviously into that *wink wink*), but rather inspire our ideal client to want passionate and creative vendors who value more than their wants and needs, but their personality and their wildest dreams too.
We value your love story, your likes and your dislikes; we dig deep into who you are, how you came to be and your love language. We even care about the tv series you watch after dark, and we are hoping Bridgerton is one of them.
Here’s a note from Emily with Em&Me Event Co.:
Having a long time love for Pride & Prejudice, Gossip Girl, and all things Shondaland I knew I had to dive into Bridgerton. One 8-hour binge later and I was hooked! It just so happened, that same week, the oh-so-talented Ashley posted a photo of a scene from the show on her Instagram stories that I replied to. And the rest, as they say, is history!
I personally love styled shoots for the opportunity to dive into something creatively and really dream big. From the stunning vintage gown to the live cellist, the plans for this shoot really came together quickly and smoothly. Arguably the most important and hardest parts were securing the venue and the perfect couple that could fit the look and reflect the burning desire that the Duke and Daphne portray. We were so lucky to get to work with Cameron and Olivia, who also happens to be a local photographer too. And Glenmoor Country Club was the first and only place we could think of in Northeast Ohio that would represent an English countryside castle perfectly.
As a planner and designer my hope is that I can take my couples’ vision and turn it into a reality. It truly takes a phenomenal team of talented professionals to pull that off flawlessly and I could not have asked for a better or more collaborative group of people! When Ashley and I first started to discuss our ideas for this shoot we knew we wanted to bring a modern and realistic take to Bridgerton (a show that was already putting modern twists to the Regency Era). What this team created, was even better than I could have dreamed!
